The male narrator had a very deep voice and even when it worked with Luke and the other male characters, and it didn’t always work with them either, it really didn’t work for Maddie or the other female characters. At the same time, the emotion and heartache that they put in to all aspects of their lives was breathtaking. Refresh and try again. The mystery came with lots of clues but I was guessing until the very satisfying surprise ending. At the same time, Luke finds himself with feelings for Maddie that he’s never had for anyone else.

Luke is fighting moving back to the town his estranged father controls. She started her own business. Her love of animals shines through and as a fellow animal lover I really appreciate it. I liked having Luke’s brothers involved, and look forward to reading their stories.

The story is still as good as ever, but I had a few issues with the narrator. Now, John’s murder caused the others to become estranged from their wealthy Dad. And two more Callahan brothers to go to round out the trilogy and the segue to Eternity Springs.
